Shopify store setup · UK

Shopify store setup for UK businesses, at a fixed US$1,250

US$1,250 · up to 50 products · live in 2 weeks · prices in US dollars

The short answer

We set up Shopify shops for UK businesses for a fixed US$1,250. That covers a theme set up around your products, or a design from scratch if the brief needs it, up to 50 products loaded, and payments, shipping and VAT set up. It’s typically live in 2 weeks, and you pay Shopify directly, from £25 a month.

Key facts

As of October 2026

  • A Shopify store costs US$1,250 with us, for up to 50 products.
  • It’s typically live in 2 weeks. The clock starts when you approve the design, and the dates are written into the scope before you agree to anything.
  • Shopify Basic costs £25 a month, or £19 a month paid yearly, on Shopify’s UK pricing page (checked 27 October 2026).
  • A UK business must register for VAT once its taxable turnover for the last 12 months goes over £90,000.
  • For orders sent from the UK, Shopify Shipping sells labels from Evri, DPD, Royal Mail, InPost UK and DHL Express Europe.
  • You see the store in Figma, with your products in it, and approve it before anyone writes code. Two rounds of changes are included.
  • Payments, shipping and tax are set up, and payments are tested.
  • Every app is named, with its monthly cost, before it’s installed.
  • Your domain, Shopify account and theme files are in your name from the start.
  • Half is paid to start, and half at launch. Never all of it up front.

What does Shopify cost each month in the UK?

The subscription and any apps are paid by you directly, in pounds, so nothing sits in our name. These are the plans on Shopify’s UK pricing page, checked 27 October 2026:

  • Basic: £25 a month, or £19 a month paid yearly
  • Grow: £65 a month, or £49 a month paid yearly
  • Advanced: £344 a month, or £259 a month paid yearly
  • Plus: from £1,800 a month

How do you set up VAT on a UK Shopify shop?

A UK business must register for VAT once its taxable turnover for the last 12 months goes over £90,000. The standard rate is 20%. On Shopify you can show prices with VAT included or add it at checkout, and filing and paying the VAT stay with you.

Goods sent from Great Britain to customers in the EU can be zero-rated for UK VAT if HMRC’s export conditions are met, and EU VAT is then due at the rate of the customer’s country. The Import One Stop Shop (IOSS) lets you charge it at the point of sale. Since 1 July 2026 the EU has also charged customs duty on low-value parcels that used to be exempt.

What we do: Tax is set up in every shop we build, the way you and your accountant decide. If you sell to the EU, we set up its shipping zones and taxes in the shop. Whether you use IOSS or register in an EU country is for you and your accountant.

We set it up with you; we don’t give tax advice.

Which payments and carriers can a UK shop use?

Online payments by standard card through Shopify Payments cost 2% + 25p on Basic, 1.7% + 25p on Grow and 1.5% + 25p on Advanced. With a payment provider other than Shopify Payments, Shopify adds its own fee of 2%, 1% or 0.6%, depending on the plan.

For orders sent from the UK, Shopify Shipping sells labels from Evri, DPD, Royal Mail, InPost UK and DHL Express Europe. Royal Mail labels through Shopify are for UK addresses only, and since 1 May 2025 Shopify hasn’t sold labels for parcels from Great Britain to Northern Ireland.

What we do: Shipping is set up in every shop we build: the zones, the rates and the carriers you use.

Do I need a theme or a design from scratch?

Most stores start on a theme, set up around your products, colours and logo rather than the other way round. A design from scratch is for when a theme won’t carry the brand. Both are in the same fixed price; a paid theme licence, if the design needs one, isn’t.

Either way, you see your store in Figma, with your products and your words in it, and mark what you’d change. Two rounds of changes are included, and nothing is built until you’ve approved it.

Should I hire a Shopify expert to set up my store?

Not always, and if we don’t think you need us, we’ll say so on the call. What the fixed price buys is the design approved before anything is built, the fiddly parts set up for you, and a store that’s entirely in your name on handover day.

What if I have more than 50 products?

Then this package doesn’t fit, and we’ll quote you properly, in writing, before you pay us anything.

Bigger than these? Membership sites, catalogues above the ceilings, custom features, anything with customer logins: quoted after the call, in writing, with its own list of what’s not included.

Who builds the store?

Centangle Global is a US company, with its delivery team in Islamabad, building websites since 2013. Recent Shopify work includes eshopp, a store for a mobile and repair retailer in Canada, which you can open at eshopp.ca.

How does a Shopify store setup work?

  1. 01

    A 20-minute call

What you sell, what you have now, what it needs to do. If a package fits, we say which. If nothing does, we say that too.

  2. 02

    The scope, in writing

What’s included, what isn’t, the price, the dates, and what we need from you and by when. Nothing starts until you’ve agreed it.

  3. 03

    The design

Your pages in Figma, with your products and your words in them. You go through it and mark what you’d change. Two rounds of changes are included.

  4. 04

    You approve it

Only then does anyone write code. This is the step that keeps the last week quiet.

  5. 05

    The build

Your products loaded from what you send, then payments, shipping and tax set up, and every app named and priced before it’s installed. You get a written note at the end of every week.

  6. 06

    Launch and handover

Your domain connected, on a dated day, with a recorded walkthrough of the three things you’ll most often want to change.

  7. 07

    Thirty days of fixes

Anything that breaks in the first thirty days after launch, we fix, at no charge.

Where do these facts come from?

Shopify’s plan prices and card rates are from its UK pricing page, checked 27 October 2026, and re-checked every quarter. The VAT, shipping facts are from the official pages below, checked October 2026 and re-checked every 6 months. Prices and rules change, so check the linked page before you rely on one. We set these up with you; we don’t give tax or legal advice.

What else do people ask?

How much does it cost to set up a Shopify store?

US$1,250 with us, for up to 50 products, with payments, shipping and tax set up. The Shopify subscription and any apps are separate, and you pay them directly.

How long does it take to set up a Shopify store?

Typically 2 weeks. The clock starts when you approve the design, not when you first email, and the dates are written into the scope before you agree to anything.

Can I edit it myself afterwards?

Yes. You get the admin login and a recorded walkthrough of the three things you’ll most often want to change. If you’d rather never touch it, that’s fine too, and you’ll know what a change costs before you ask for it.

Is the price actually fixed?

Yes, for the scope printed on the page. If you ask for something outside it, we quote that separately and you decide before we build it. Nothing is added to an invoice without your agreement first.

Do I own everything?

Yes. Domain, Shopify account, theme files, images. All in your name from the start, so nobody can hold them over you.

What do I pay upfront?

Half. The rest at launch. If you’ve been burned before, that’s the point of the split.

Will you set up VAT on my shop?

Yes, tax is set up in every shop we build. Whether you register for VAT, and what you charge, is for you or your accountant to decide; HMRC’s guidance is linked above. We set the shop up to match.

Are your prices in pounds?

Our prices are in US dollars (US$) for every country, the UK included. They aren’t converted into pounds, so the price in your written scope is the US$ price shown here.

Do you have a UK office or phone number?

No. Centangle Global is a US company, formed in 2025, with its delivery team in Islamabad, building websites since 2013. There’s no UK office or UK number: call or WhatsApp +1 (307) 269-6427, or email us.
