Shopify speed optimisation · UK
Shopify speed optimisation for UK shops, at a fixed US$950
US$950 · up to 300 products · typically 5–10 working days · prices in US dollars
The short answer
We speed up Shopify shops for UK businesses for a fixed US$950. We measure five pages, fix what is slowing them down, such as images, scripts, fonts and theme code, then measure the same five pages again. You keep both files. It typically takes 5–10 working days, and your Shopify plan doesn’t change.
Key facts
As of October 2026
- A Shopify speed fix costs US$950 for one store of up to 300 products and up to 6 template types.
- It typically takes 5–10 working days.
- A speed fix doesn’t change your Shopify plan. Shopify Basic costs £25 a month, or £19 a month paid yearly, on Shopify’s UK pricing page (checked 27 October 2026).
- Advertising cookies and tags, such as the Meta Pixel or Google Ads, need the visitor’s consent before they run.
- The same five pages are measured before and after the work, and you keep both files.
- We measure your store before you pay us anything, and tell you what we’d fix first.
- No speed score is guaranteed: a guaranteed number usually means stripping out something you need.
- The layout and design don’t change, so you can see what made the difference.
- Half is paid to start, and half at launch. Never all of it up front.
Does a speed fix change what I pay Shopify in the UK?
No. The speed fix is a one-off US$950, and your plan stays as it is, paid to Shopify directly in pounds. These are the plans on Shopify’s UK pricing page, checked 27 October 2026:
- Basic: £25 a month, or £19 a month paid yearly
- Grow: £65 a month, or £49 a month paid yearly
- Advanced: £344 a month, or £259 a month paid yearly
- Plus: from £1,800 a month
Will a speed fix touch my cookie banner?
Advertising cookies and tags, such as the Meta Pixel or Google Ads, need the visitor’s consent before they run. Since 5 February 2026, cookies used only for analytics statistics don’t, as long as the site explains them clearly and gives a simple, free way to object.
Your banner is something your shop depends on. The script and app audit names what each script costs in speed, and we won’t quietly remove the banner, or make a tag run before consent, to make a number look better.
Does a speed fix change my VAT, payments or shipping?
No. A speed fix works on images, scripts, fonts and theme code, and the layout and design don’t change. Your VAT settings, payments and shipping rates stay as they are.
Online payments by standard card through Shopify Payments cost 2% + 25p on Basic, 1.7% + 25p on Grow and 1.5% + 25p on Advanced. With a payment provider other than Shopify Payments, Shopify adds its own fee of 2%, 1% or 0.6%, depending on the plan.

What usually slows a Shopify store down?
Speed optimisation on Shopify mostly means fixing the same five things. Most stores have four of these. Some have all five.
- Images uploaded at full camera resolution and shrunk in the browser
- Apps you stopped using that still load their scripts on every page
- Fonts blocking the first paint
- Sliders and video on the homepage doing more work than they’re worth
- Theme code left behind by whoever built it before
Why does a slow store matter?
There’s no alert when someone leaves. They tap, wait, and go somewhere else, and it shows up as traffic that never converted rather than as a problem you can see.
How do you measure the speed?
Before you pay us anything, we measure five pages of your store and tell you what we’d fix first. After the work, we measure the same five pages again. You get both sets of measurements as files to keep, so you can judge the work yourself rather than take our word for it.
Can you guarantee a speed score?
We won’t guarantee a score. Anyone who does either hasn’t looked at your store or is planning to strip out something you need. What we’ll do is measure honestly, fix what can be fixed at theme level, and show you the same pages before and after. If something can’t be fixed without removing a feature you rely on, we’ll tell you and let you decide.
What if an app I need is slowing the store down?
We’ll name it and tell you what it costs you in speed. Then it’s your call. We won’t quietly remove something your store depends on to make a number look better.

What else do people ask?
How much does Shopify speed optimisation cost?
US$950, fixed, for one store of up to 300 products and up to 6 template types, with the same five pages measured before and after.
How long does a Shopify speed fix take?
Typically 5–10 working days.
Do you redesign anything while you’re in there?
No. Speed work is speed work. Layout and design changes are a separate project, and mixing them makes it impossible to tell what actually caused the improvement.
My store is bigger than 300 products. Now what?
Then the package doesn’t fit and we’ll quote you properly. Send the URL and we’ll tell you what it costs. Being outside the ceiling isn’t a problem, it’s just a different number.
Is the price actually fixed?
Yes, for the scope printed on the page. If you ask for something outside it, we quote that separately and you decide before we build it. Nothing is added to an invoice without your agreement first.
What do I pay upfront?
Half. The rest at launch. If you’ve been burned before, that’s the point of the split.
Are your prices in pounds?
Our prices are in US dollars (US$) for every country, the UK included. They aren’t converted into pounds, so the price in your written scope is the US$ price shown here.
Do you have a UK office or phone number?
No. Centangle Global is a US company, formed in 2025, with its delivery team in Islamabad, building websites since 2013. There’s no UK office or UK number: call or WhatsApp +1 (307) 269-6427, or email us.
Is your Shopify store slow?
Book a 20-minute call and bring your store’s address. We’ll measure it before you pay us anything, and if speed isn’t your real problem, we’ll say that instead.
