Centangle Global is a US company, with its delivery team in Islamabad, building websites since 2013, and we work with businesses across Canada by email, call and WhatsApp, in English only. Three of our Shopify services have their own page for stores in Canada, with Shopify’s Canadian plan prices, GST/HST and shipping:

03 / Time zones

How do we work across Canadian time zones?

Every message gets a reply within one working day, wherever you are in Canada.

You book calls through Calendly at a time that suits you. It shows the times in your own time zone, from Newfoundland to Pacific time.

Our delivery team is in Islamabad. You get a written note at the end of every week on what moved and what’s next, so nothing waits on us being online at the same moment as you.

We work in English only. We can’t write or check French copy.

05 / Setting up

What does a Canadian online store need set up?

These are the parts of a Canadian store we set up with you. Which rules apply depends on your business and where your customers are, so each point links to the official source for you, or your accountant or lawyer, to check. We don’t give tax or legal advice. Amounts in this section are in Canadian dollars (C$).

GST/HST

A business must register for GST/HST once its taxable sales go over C$30,000 in four consecutive calendar quarters. GST is 5%. HST is 13% in Ontario, 14% in Nova Scotia (since April 1, 2025), and 15% in New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, and Prince Edward Island.

What we doTax is set up in every store we build, for the taxes you’re registered to collect.

PST in British Columbia, Saskatchewan and Manitoba

British Columbia (7% PST), Saskatchewan (6% PST) and Manitoba (7% RST) charge their own sales tax. A seller elsewhere in Canada that accepts orders from British Columbia and delivers taxable goods there must register for its PST: with no minimum if it solicits orders there, by advertising or any other means, and otherwise once its gross revenue from British Columbia goes over C$10,000 in the past 12 months, or is expected to in the next 12. Saskatchewan requires a licence from sellers outside the province who sell to its customers, with no threshold. Manitoba requires registration from sellers outside the province who deliver taxable goods there, solicit orders there and accept orders from there.

What we doWe set up each provincial tax you’re registered for, alongside GST/HST.

Shipping

For Canadian stores, Shopify Shipping sells labels from Canada Post, DHL Express Canada and UPS, within Canada and abroad, and from Purolator within Canada.

What we doShipping is set up in every store we build: the zones, the rates and the carriers you use.

Selling across the border to the US

Since August 29, 2025, low-value parcels no longer enter the US duty-free: its “de minimis” exemption for goods worth US$800 or less is suspended for every country. Canada Post now needs a declaration ID before it will print a label for a US parcel. US states’ sales tax rules for sellers outside the state are on our US page.

What we doIf you sell to the US, we set up its shipping zones and rates in the store.

Privacy in Quebec (Law 25)

A business that collects personal information through its website must publish a privacy policy in clear, simple terms, and any technology on the site that can identify, locate or profile a visitor must be off until they turn it on.

What we doWe add your privacy policy page to the store, with the wording you or your lawyer give us.

Marketing emails (CASL)

Canada’s anti-spam law requires consent before you send a commercial email, a message that names you with valid contact details, and a free unsubscribe that’s honoured within 10 business days.

What we doWe don’t do email marketing. The sign-up form we build asks for consent before anyone joins your list.

06 / Questions

What do Canadian businesses ask us?

Are your prices in Canadian dollars?

No. Every price is in US dollars (US$), for every country: US$950 for a Shopify speed fix and US$1,250 for a store, a website, a store move or a redesign. They aren’t converted, so the price in your written scope is the US$ price shown here.

Do you work in French?

No. We work in English only, so we can’t write or check French copy. If you sell in Quebec, the Office québécois de la langue française explains when a business’s website needs to be in French (linked above).

Will you set up GST/HST, PST and QST?

Yes, tax is set up in every store we build. Which taxes you register for and charge depends on your business and where your customers are, so that’s for you or your accountant to decide; the CRA’s and the provinces’ pages are linked above. We set the store up to match.

Do you have a Canadian office or phone number?

No. Centangle Global is a US company, formed in 2025, with its delivery team in Islamabad, building websites since 2013. There’s no Canadian office or Canadian number: call or WhatsApp +1 (307) 269-6427, or email us.

Is there Canadian work I can look at?

Yes: eshopp, a Shopify store for mobile and repair retail in Canada. You can open it at eshopp.ca.
