Wix to Shopify
Wix to Shopify migration, for a fixed $1,250
$1,250 · up to 300 products · 3 to 4 weeks · prices in US dollars
The short answer
We move Wix stores to Shopify for a fixed $1,250 in US dollars: up to 300 products, your customers and order history, and every Wix address redirected to its new Shopify page. Wix can’t export blog posts, digital products or reviews, so the written scope says what moves, and how, before you agree.
Key facts
As of October 2026
- A Wix to Shopify migration costs $1,250 (USD) for up to 300 products and 1,000 variants, typically in 3–4 weeks.
- Wix exports physical products to CSV, up to 5,000 rows per file. Digital products can’t be exported.
- Wix allows 6 options per product. Shopify allows 3 options and 2,048 variants, so products with more than 3 options are restructured.
- Wix can’t export blog posts to another platform, and reviews in Wix Reviews can’t be exported.
- Wix product pages sit at /product-page/… and blog posts at /post/…. On Shopify they move to /products/… and /blogs/…, so each one needs a redirect.
- Shopify’s free Store Migration app imports Wix products and customers only.
What can you export from Wix?
Wix exports physical products to a CSV file from the Products tab, up to 5,000 rows per file, with each variant and each image on its own row. Contacts export to CSV, up to 50,000 at a time, and orders export to CSV from the Orders tab.
Some things don’t export at all: digital products, blog posts, the member list, and reviews from Wix Reviews. Wix also says a Wix site can’t be moved to another host, so the pages and the design are rebuilt on Shopify.
How do Wix addresses map to Shopify?
Wix and Shopify build their web addresses differently, so nearly every address changes:
- Products: /product-page/{name} on Wix becomes /products/{name} on Shopify.
- Store categories: /category/{name} becomes /collections/{name}.
- Blog posts: /post/{name} becomes /blogs/{blog}/{name}.
- Other pages: /{name} becomes /pages/{name}.
- Wix lets you change its prefixes in its SEO settings, so the map starts from your store’s real addresses, not the defaults.
- Shopify’s Wix guide says to set up the redirects in Shopify before the domain moves, and that’s when they go in.
What can’t come across from Wix as it is?
- Product options beyond 3. Wix allows 6 options per product; Shopify allows 3, and its import tool drops the options of any product with more. Those products need restructuring, and the scope says how.
- Custom text fields on products. Shopify’s product import has no column for them, so they’re rebuilt with an app or in the theme.
- Digital products. Wix can’t export them, so they’re set up again on Shopify.
- Reviews. Wix can’t export reviews from Wix Reviews, and Shopify says reviews can’t be migrated from Wix.
- Members and passwords. Wix can’t export its member list (contacts can be), and passwords never move between platforms.
- Subscriptions. Wix says changing payment provider means cancelling active subscriptions, so subscribers sign up again on Shopify.
What happens to a domain bought through Wix?
You can keep it at Wix and point it at Shopify by changing its A and CNAME records, which Wix says can take up to 48 hours to take effect. Or you can transfer it away from Wix, which Wix says usually takes up to 7 days and needs the domain unlocked first. If you transfer it and your email runs on that domain, Wix says its email (MX) records have to be added again.
Can’t Shopify’s own app do this?
Partly. Shopify’s free Store Migration app imports Wix products and customers from Wix’s CSV files. It doesn’t move order history, pages, blog posts, redirects or reviews, and it drops the options of products with more than three. The order history, the pages, the redirect map and the checking are what the package adds.
Can I move from Wix to Shopify myself?
Yes. Shopify publishes a step-by-step Wix guide, and its free Store Migration app takes Wix’s product and customer files as they are. In outline, from Shopify’s and Wix’s own help pages:
- Export your products from the Products tab of your Wix dashboard: More Actions › Export. Each file holds up to 5,000 rows, and digital products can’t be exported. Export your contacts too, if you want your customers.
- Upload Wix’s files unchanged to Shopify’s Store Migration app. It imports products as drafts, and a product with 4 or more options comes in without its options or variants. Without the app, you edit the file to match Shopify’s product CSV template and use Products › Import.
- Check every product before you publish it: prices, weights, stock, images and variants. Import before you close Wix, because Shopify downloads the images from Wix’s addresses during the import.
- Bring order history across with a migration app or Shopify’s API, if you want it: Shopify doesn’t import orders from a CSV file. Import products first, then customers, then orders, and turn off Shopify’s new-order emails first, or your staff get one for each order imported.
- Set up your theme, shipping, taxes and payments, then place a few test orders.
- Add the redirects before the domain moves, as Shopify advises: in Shopify, Content › Menus › URL redirects, one at a time or by importing a CSV file. Each /product-page/{name} goes to /products/{name}.
- Then connect your domain: in Shopify, Settings › Domains › Connect existing domain, and change the domain’s A and www CNAME records to Shopify’s. Or transfer it to Shopify, with the code Wix emails you from Domains › Domain Actions › Transfer away from Wix. Save a copy of its DNS records first, email (MX) records included, because Shopify doesn’t copy them. A .co.uk domain can’t be transferred to Shopify, so it’s connected instead.
From Shopify’s Wix guide, Shopify’s migration guide, Wix’s product export page, Wix’s domain transfer page, Shopify’s URL redirects page, Shopify’s page on connecting a domain and Shopify’s page on transferring a domain, checked on 28 October 2026.
When is it worth paying for a move from Wix?
Done yourself, some of it stays by hand: Wix’s blog posts, digital products and reviews don’t export, products with more than 3 options are rebuilt, and without the app, Shopify’s customer import has no column mapping, so each column is renamed to Shopify’s.
If your store is small, with simple products and not much search traffic to protect, Shopify’s own steps are enough, and you don’t need us. Paying makes sense when there are hundreds of products to restructure, history to keep, or no time to check it all: the package is $1,250 in US dollars for up to 300 products, with the redirect map, a written rollback and thirty days of fixes.

What else do people ask?
How much does a Wix to Shopify migration cost?
$1,250 in US dollars for up to 300 products and 1,000 variants, with the redirect map included. The Shopify subscription and any app fees are separate, and you pay them to Shopify.
How do I import my Wix products into Shopify?
Export them from your Wix dashboard as a CSV file, then upload it unchanged to Shopify’s free Store Migration app, which imports them as drafts. A product with 4 or more options comes in without its options or variants, so check those first. Import before you close Wix: Shopify downloads the images from it.
Can I keep my Wix reviews?
Not as they are. Wix can’t export reviews from Wix Reviews, and Shopify says reviews can’t be migrated from Wix. Shopify points to review apps for collecting them again.
Can I move my Wix blog?
Wix can’t export blog posts to another platform, so posts are copied across by hand. Tell us how many you have, and the scope will say how they move.
Will my customers need new passwords?
Passwords never move between platforms: Shopify can’t import them. With Shopify’s current customer accounts there’s no password to set, because customers sign in with a one-time code sent by email.
Do I cancel Wix first?
No. Keep Wix running until the new store has settled, then cancel it yourself.
